One lucky Betway player has turned a R120 stake into roughly R3.3 million on the UK 49's – one of the biggest Lucky Numbers wins we've seen reported in South Africa this year.

The Winning Bet

The bet was placed on Betway's own UK 49's Midday draw (12:49pm SAST) on Thursday 8 October 2026. The player picked four numbers, and all four came in.

Three of the picks (28, 42 and 47) came out as main balls, and the fourth pick, 8, landed as the bonus ball – so the winner matched four of the seven balls drawn. That's a return of around 27,500 times the stake.
