Lucky Numbers Bet Types Explained

When we display odds on Bet49s.co.za, there are often tabs that allow you to select ‘With Bonus’, ‘Without Bonus’ or '+ Bonus'. You will also see these phrases when placing your bet.

For our examples, we are using UK 49’s as this is one of the most popular in South Africa. Ball numbers vary by Lottery but the same selection choices (with bonus, without bonus, etc) apply.

‘Without Bonus’ Or ‘Classic’

1. You select 1-5 balls
2. You select from one range of 1-49 numbers
3. Your chosen numbers must appear in the results without the bonus ball:

‘With Bonus’ Or ‘Classic Inc Bonus’

1. You select 1-5 balls
2. You select from one range of 1-49 numbers
3. Your chosen numbers must appear in the results including the bonus ball:

‘+ Bonus’ or ‘Classic + Bonus’

1. You select 1-4 balls from 1-49 range
2. You then select 1 bonus ball from 1-49 range (which isn’t the same as the 1-4 balls)
3. Your first 1-4 balls must appear in the first 6 ball (red box below)
4. Plus, your bonus ball must be the bonus ball (blue box below)
